Us |
Our
Organization
We
are a non-government, non-profit organization with
members coming from different sectors and
disciplines. We are starting out as a small group of
health professionals interested in health history
but we hope to be a multi-centered and
multi-disciplined organization with members from
other sectors and chapters in the different major
cities in the Philippines.
Our
Vision
A
society that is recognized as a key player in the
promotion of health history and that the study of
health history is institutionalized in the
Philippine health sector and other related
disciplines.
Our
Objectives
Health
history provides us with better understanding of
health, disease and medicine and their place in the
society in which we live in.
We
are committed to the developing the culture for
health history in the health sector, especially in
the Department of Health and its partners:
- Promote
health history research
- Strengthen
health history research
- Collect,
preserve, archive and organize Philippine health
history information
- Conduct
regular for a to discuss health history and
other related issues

Society of Philippine Health History is governed by
a Board of Trustees. This volunteer body, is
comprised of historians, physicians, business and
civic leaders.
