EBOLA UPDATEDA-DOH STATEMENT ON THE JOINT FAO-WHO-OIE MISSION ON THE EBOLA RESTON VIRUS SITUATION AMONG PIGS

The Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Health (DOH) today announce the arrival of our international counterparts who will assist the country in the ongoing epidemiological investigation of the Ebola Reston virus recently discovered among pigs in two farms in Bulacan and  Pangasinan.

The Joint Mission is composed of animal and human health experts from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), World Health Organization (WHO) and technical teams coming from the DA and DOH.

LYMPHATIC FILARIASIS ELIMINATION PROGRAMHealth Secretary Francisco T. IRR ON CHEAPER MEDICINES BILL SIGNEDThe Department of Health (DOH), led by Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III, today signed the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Universally Accessible and Affordable Quality Medicines Act of 2008 otherwise known as the "Cheaper Medicines Act of 2008".
