National Center for Health Facilities Development
a. Develops plans, policies,
programs, projects and strategies related to health facility development, planning, operation and maintenance
b. Provides coordination, technical assistance, capability building, consultancy and advisory services related to health facility development, planning, operation and maintenance.
c. Advises the Secretary and the Undersecretary of Health on matters pertaining to health facility development, planning, operation and maintenance.
1. Infrastructure and Equipment Development Division
Specific Functions
a. Develops policies, programs, standards, guidelines and projects related to development and upgrading of health facilities and health care equipment
b. Prepares master site development plans for health facilities under the Department of Health and reviews and evaluates such plans developed by other agencies and organizations.
c. Formulates master health care equipment development and upgrading plans for the facilities under the Department of Health and reviews and evaluates such plans developed by other agencies and organizations.
d. Provides technical assistance and expert services to collaborating and implementing agencies on matters pertaining to health facility and health care equipment development.
e. Coordinates planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of activities related to health facility and health care equipment development.
2. Technical Operation Division
Specific Functions
a. Develops and implements systems and procedures to operationalize networking of hospitals, laboratories and other health facilities.
b. Formulates policies, guidelines and procedures related to the operation and maintenance of hospitals. Laboratories and other health facilities.
c. Provides technical assistance and expert services to implementing agencies on matters pertaining to the capability building and operation and maintenance of hospitals, laboratories and other health facilities.
d. Conducts and coordinates human resource development activities related to hospital, laboratory and health facility operation and maintenance.
e. Develops and maintains data bank and information system on hospitals, laboratories and other health facilities.
3. Management systems Development Division
Specific Functions
a. Formulates plans, policies, programs, projects and strategies for organization and management systems development of hospitals, laboratories and other health facilities.
b. Provides technical assistance and expert services to implementing agencies on matters pertaining to organizational and management systems development of hospitals, laboratories and other health facilities.
c. Reviews administrative, technical, financial and legal issues related to conversion of government health facilities to fiscally autonomous entities.
