JICA SUPPORTS KALUSUGAN PANGKALAHATAN
DOH and JICA signed the Record of Discussion to implement a new local health systems improvement project in some provinces in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
A new technical cooperation project of the Department of Health (DOH) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was signed last November 23, 2011 in DOH.
The new project aims to improve and making health care accessible, particularly maternal and child health (MCH) services, through improved local health systems. The project entitled, “Cordillera-wide Strengthening of the Local Health System for Effective and Efficient Delivery of Maternal and Child Health Services”, will be implemented starting early 2012 until 2017 in the provinces of Apayao, Benguet and Abra.
