3RD MSW NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Health Assistant Secretary Nemesio T. Gako, during the 3rd National Conference of the League of Medical Social Workers held recently, stressing the important role Medical Social Workers (MSWs) play in the delivery of health care services by providing comprehensive professional social work services which are responsive to the psychosocial needs of the patients and their families and make them participate in the realization of the patient’s optimal well-being.  He added that MSWs are pioneers in the Public-Private Partnership efforts of the Department of Health by strengthening networking systems with other stakeholders to increase access of patients to quality health care services.(19 October 2011, Camelot Hotel, Quezon City)
