12th National Forum on Health Research for Action
Health Secretary Enrique T. Ona, during the 12th National Forum on Health Research for Action, acknowledges the said annual gathering as a venue to gather and discuss the latest findings in health systems research. Ona added that these researches should be strongly link to the challenges of achieving Kalusugan Pangkalahatan (Universal Health Care). He also stressed the need for the health sector to be more responsive to the health needs of poorest families (whose monthly household incomes ranged from P 5,958 to 8,594) who are extremely vulnerable to unexpected costs such as treatment of illnesses.
